Privacy Policy

Fnova Labs LLC (“Fnova,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Bakoon, including the Bakoon mobile app and this website. This policy explains how we handle information when you use Bakoon.

Our privacy approach

Bakoon is designed to keep sensitive sleep information close to you. Raw Apple Health records and optional snore audio clips are processed and stored on your device. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use health information for advertising or marketing.

Information you provide or create

• Account and profile information, such as your Sign in with Apple identifier, chosen display name, user ID, and privacy settings.
• Challenge and social information, such as sleep-goal settings, Lights Out check-ins, challenge progress and outcomes, Dream Seed balances, friend or Crew connections, and information you choose to make visible to friends.
• Support messages you send to us, including the information you include in your email.

Health and microphone information

With your permission, Bakoon reads relevant sleep and health information from Apple Health to show sleep reports and help confirm sleep challenges. Raw Apple Health records stay on your device. If you participate in a challenge, Bakoon may send the minimum timing or confirmation information needed to operate that challenge; it does not upload your complete Health database.

The optional snore monitor uses your microphone only after you enable it. Possible-snore clips and related local reports are processed and saved on your device. Bakoon does not upload those audio clips to our servers.

How we use information

We use information to provide and secure Bakoon, maintain accounts and challenges, enable social features you choose to use, respond to support requests, comply with law, and improve reliability and safety. We do not use health information for advertising, data mining, or sale.

When information is shared

Your friends and Crew members may see the profile, membership badge, challenge, or progress information that the app’s privacy controls permit. We share information with service providers that help operate our service, only under instructions to provide those services. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users, our rights, or the service.

Retention and deletion

We retain server-side account and challenge data only as long as needed to provide Bakoon, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and protect the service. You can request deletion of your account in the app. Account deletion removes your account and associated server-side data subject to limited records we must retain for legal, fraud-prevention, or transaction purposes. You may delete locally stored snore clips from within the app or by deleting the app.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please protect your device and account credentials.

Children

Bakoon is not directed to children under 13. Do not use Bakoon or provide personal information if you are under the minimum age required in your region.

Changes and contact
